Installing awnings in areas where salt laden air is present requires extra care on the part of the owner. Salt air is extremely corrosive on all objects, including non-ferrous metals like aluminum and stainless steel.
Awnings exposed to salt air must be treated with the same care as would be given to a boat or other metal equipment in order to prevent accelerated salt environment corrosion of the fasteners and finish.

Crazing does not affect the performance or characteristics of acrylic fabrics and the lines will diminish over time with exposure to the elements.
'Rita and I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that we have our Awning installed and are using it frequently, and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! We are now able to use our Patio during the heat of the day, as well as at night when the dew falls...it is wonderful! I do however sometimes wish I'd went to the extra expense to get the Motorized option... but it only takes a matter of seconds to crank it in and out, so it is not an issue. Our neighbors are so impressed with it, and some have already said they want one... so we have referred them to you in the event they decide to purchase...
Thanks to you for all the assistance, and we appreciate all your help!!'
